Albert "Jim" Walent

Albert “Jim” Walent, 84, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Akron City Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; son, Stuart; brother, Bob (Nancy) Walent; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim taught biology for sixteen years in different states. He also served in the Air Force and later retired from the Ohio Air National Guard.

Since Jim was a bird lover, please feed the birds in his memory

Jim was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Norton.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave. Barberton, OH 44203. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Mashek officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
