Ann M. Harris (nee Moritz)

Barberton – Beloved mother and wife, Ann M. Harris passed away peacefully on November 20, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 31, 1926 in Barberton to Titus and Mary (Stetz) Moritz. A life-long resident of Barberton, she attended St. Paul’s Moore Memorial United Methodist Church and was a long-time member of the Eastern Star Jeannette Chapter 212 O.E.S. She retired from Albert’s Screenprint in 1982. She also worked at Diamond Match, Coventry Ware and Sun Rubber. While her daughters were young, she was a stay-at-home mom and was active in the Memorial Elementary PTA and more recently served as an Oakdale Lunch Buddy.

Preceded in death by her parents;  brothers Emery and Richard Moritz and sisters Rose Ellis and Marge Kumse; she is survived by her husband of 65 years, George E. Harris, daughters  Elissa Young and Robin Harris  of Doylestown, Cindy (Paul) Goda of Madison, and Cathy Johnston of Painesville, seven grandchildren, Chris (Mari) Young , Brian Young, Melissa (Scott) Nelson, Sarah (Jay T.) Wittmann,  Jennifer Johnston, Kyle Johnston and Michael Goda and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Ethel (Robert) Prats, and Monica (Mike) Kindel; brothers, John Moritz, David (Sharon) Moritz and Jerome (Pat) Moritz. 

We would like to thank Senior Independence and caregivers Susan, Connie, Kristen, Dr. Irvine and many others for their loving care.

Private services with Pastor Tal Lewis officiating have taken place.
