Charles Moore Obituary

TOGETHER AGAIN-- Charles (Chuck) Junior Moore passed away peacefully Friday, January 19, 2018, at his home in Barberton, Ohio. He was born September 15, 1927, to Pauline and Charles L Moore in Springfield, Illinois.

Chuck was a proud veteran, he served in the Army Air Corp in WW2 as a Private 1st Class in the 436th Bomb Squad but was most proud of serving as a 747 Airplane and Engine Mechanic. He spoke often of being top of his training class and learning his skill in an extremely short period of time.  He was a dedicated worker and his career consisted of Wright Tool and Forge Co. as a Foreman as well as working for Babcock and Wilcox and Manchester Tool.

He met his beautiful bride and love of his life, Eleanor Louise Morrison in Barberton while on leave and married her 1 1/2 years later and together had the family he had only dreamed of as a child.

He was a bright man, self-taught Mechanic and never needed anyone to work on his cars. He shared that love of cars with his children. Chuck was personable and could carry a conversation with anyone he met. He was the type of man that would never get lost in a crowd. He would go to the store and be out for hours talking to strangers and loving every minute of it. His love of storytelling, about his childhood, about the war, about anything, would keep people at his side for hours. He had a great sense of humor and loved saying something corny that would make you think and make you smile.

Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Louise; sons, Charles Leroy and Donald Andrew; granddaughter, Christiana Moore; great granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Metz; sister, Betty Garrett; and son-in-law, Harold "Augie" Augustynovich.

Survived by his daughters, Brenda (Roger Sr.) Metz, Marjorie Lindemann, and Janis Augustynovich; grandchildren; Roger Jr., Mark, Ellen, Michael, Crista, Theresa, and Kristain; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Per Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service at a later date.
