Clayton A. Walton, age 70, born February 13, 1946 went home to be with his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on August 17, 2016 after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer. Born and raised in Barberton, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Anne, and Brother Jack. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Janis (nee Kovach) Walton and four children, Vanessa, Luke (Susan), Josiah, Austin (Karina), and three grandchildren, brother Charles (Judy) and beloved niece Naomie (Tommy).

He proudly served in the US NAVY aboard the U.S.S. Allagash AO-97 from 1963-1968. Clayton will be remembered first for his love of the LORD, love for his family as well as his church family at Ambassador Baptist Church. He was known for his quick-witted sense of humor, his laughter, and hugs. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

We will be forever grateful for Dr. Ueda and the many other caring and loving staff at the Wade Park Veteran’s Hospital as well as the doctors at University Hospital.

A private committal service will be held at the Western Reserve National Cemetery.

There will be MEMORIAL Service officiated by Pastor Mike Decker to celebrate his life on SEPTEMBER 10, 2016 at 1pm, at the Ambassador Baptist Church 620 Trease Road, Wadsworth Ohio 44281. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP of Greater Akron, 310 Orchard Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. This organization has been dear to our family’s heart for many years.
