Geraldine Swafford Obituary

Geraldine (Gerry) Swafford 81 of Wadsworth, Ohio went to be with her Lord February 4, 2018. Geraldine was born to Troy and Audrey Vaughn on September 5, 1936 in Monterey, Tennessee. She married the love of her life, Harold Swafford, July 5, 1955.

Geraldine had a heart of service with unconditional love. She was a loving wife and mother. She supported the ministry of Reimer Road Baptist Church for over 50 years, serving as Bus Ministry secretary for over 35 years of that time.

Geraldine was preceded in death by daughter Connie Jarrett, son Matthew Swafford, granddaughter April Jarrett, brother David Vaughn, sister Charlie Mae Jernigan and sister Irene Grant.

Geraldine is survived by her loving husband Rev. Harold Swafford, children Doug (Marla) Swafford of Dayton, Tammie (Glenn) Greenwood of Wadsworth, Skeet (Jesse) Swafford of Wadsworth, sister Mary Ruth Sisco and brother Denny Vaughn both of Monterey, TN and 8 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Reimer Road Baptist Church 1055 Reimer Road Wadsworth Thursday February 8 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service at the church Friday, February 9, 11AM, Rev Jim Newton officiating. Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
