Jackson "Jack" Saunders

Jackson “Jack” F. Saunders, went Home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2017. He was born on August 1, 1928 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Eck & Mable Saunders.
 
He was a member of Victory Chapel and Community Christian Church, and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Jack enjoyed fishing, boating, southern Gospel music and listening to music in the barn in Medina.
 
Preceded in death by his parents, Eck & Mable; wife, June; son, Jack Jr.; daughters, Tari & Debra; brothers, Glenn and Mike; sisters, Jean Ann, Margie, and Shirley; great-grandson, Dakota; and honorary son, Brian Black.
 
Survived by sons, Brian (Stephanie) Saunders and Bruce (Jill) Saunders- Russek; grandchildren, TJ (Amber) Elseg, Josh Daiger, Zach Saunders, Shena Daiger, and Brandon and Melissa Tedrick; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Norma) and Danny (Sue); sister, Frankie Baker; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Priscilla Hill; and honorary children, Jen & Jeremy Lester, TJ and Amanda Wilt, Rick and Sofina Wilt, Mark and Marie Green, Gary Mitchell, and Michelle Black.
 
Funeral services will be held, SUNDAY, December 10, 2017, at 4:00pm at Victory Chapel, 32 W. Bellisle Drive, Akron. Pastor Bobby Webb will officiate.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 2:00-4:00pm at the church. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held, MONDAY at 10:00am at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Chapel in Jack’s name.
