THOMAS J. CHRIST

Tom was born on Sept 7, 1942 to John & Mae Christ.  He passed away on June 14, 2016.

He was a quiet, simple man who lived one day at a time with extraordinary love for life.  He served in the Navy, traveling the world playing basketball on the Armed Forces Basketball Team.  His love for basketball continued when he became an avid fan of the 2016 State Champion Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies Basketball team.

As a professional clown he delighted children from 2-200.  His final gig was on a Mission Trip in December, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (O'Connor); daughters, Tina (Englebert) Davish and Julie Christ; granddaughter Lizzy Christ; grandson, Zigani Davish; sisters, Dianne (Jerry) Werner, Patti (Ron) Evans; brother-in-law, Rick Barrett; sisters-in-law, Pat & Mary Christ; the O'Connor Family, cousins, nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Fred, Daniel and Donald; sisters, Sharon Barrett & Peggy Zolot.

Tom loved his First Christian Church family, serving as an usher, a member of the Outreach Committee, a member of the Mission Team and enjoyed the Breakfast Club with his friends.

Celebration of Tom's life will be held on June 25th at 11:00 at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St, Wadsworth, OH.  Calling hours 1 hour prior to service from 10-11am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cox-McNulty Funeral Home.

He was a good man.
