Thomas G. Gunter Sr.

Thomas G. Gunter Sr., age 75, passed away December 28, 2017. Retired from Copley Township with 23 years of service. Served with the US Army during Vietnam.

Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ressie; sister, Patty Lucas; and brother, Bob.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane; children, Tom (Shannon) Jr., Michael, Matt (Shellie) and Lance (Robyn); grandchildren, Timmothy, Sean, Emily, Ethan, Megan, Katey, Justin and Kelsey; brother, Michael (Janie); and sister, Barbara (Lucky) Henthorn.

The family will receive friends, TUESDAY, January 2, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. Funeral services will be held, WEDNESDAY, January 3 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Pastor Julie Thoms will officiate.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Visiting Nurse Service: Justin T. Rogers Care Center or the American Heart Association.
