Henry Garrett – May 21, 1951 – June 9, 2026

Henry "Hank" Garrett, age 75, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2026. Born on May 21, 1951, in Barberton to the late Herman Garrett and the late Mary Garrett (Goch), Hank was a lifelong resident of the community he loved and a man whose steady presence touched the lives of all who knew him.

Hank was the embodiment of dedication and loyalty. He devoted 47 years of faithful service to Wright Tool before retiring in August 2016, a remarkable testament to his work ethic and commitment. His colleagues and friends alike knew him as someone who could always be counted on. Simply put, Hank was always there for you when you needed him, and that unwavering dependability defined the man he was.

In his free time, Hank could often be found doing what he loved most: spending time in his garage, or engaging in spirited debates with friends on a wide range of subjects. He never shied away from a good discussion and relished the company of those around him. Hank was a proud and active member of several local organizations, including the Barberton VFW, the Hungarian Club, and the GBU. The VFW held a special place in his heart, as it was where he enjoyed spending time with the many friends he had gathered over a lifetime in Barberton.

Hank is survived by his daughter, Valerie Barr (Todd Miller); his brother, Pee Wee (Karen) Garrett; his sisters, Kim Garrett and Shirley Garrett; as well as grandchildren Ashley (Andrew) Tufts and Mason (Courtney) Barr, who were dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mary Garrett, and his brother, Gary Garrett.

No formal services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date, offering family and friends the opportunity to gather and honor the memory of a man who gave so much of himself to others. May Hank rest in the peace he so richly deserves.
