Marilyn Weaver, 80, of Norton, passed away Monday, April 8 at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Barberton in June, 1943 to the late Robert and Marian Schnee. Marilyn was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1961 and moved to Norton, where she lived the rest of her life.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Robert Schnee, Jr. A loving wife, mother and grandma, Marilyn is survived by the love of her life, her devoted husband of 40 years, Judson "Judd". She is also survived by daughters Laurie (Chris) Delaria and Jean (Zsolt) Jenkins Varga; Michael (Debbie) Weaver and Diane (Weaver) Clark; grandchildren Michael Delaria, Rachael Delaria, Shelley (Weaver) Cather, LeAnne Weaver, Sami Jo (Weaver) Slusher; Taylor Clark, Ryan Clark, Kristin (Clark) Berardelli, Jared (Cherish) Clark and four great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Marilyn was an avid bowler. She & Judd bowled in several couples leagues over the years, including the "Old Farts League" at Chargers. She and Laurie also bowled as a team, winning the Mother/Daughter doubles tournament in 1988! When not bowling, Marilyn worked for several years at Magic City Lanes managing the food counter, before retiring to be a full-time homemaker. She was a wonderful Mom and Grandma and an outgoing person, who would talk to anybody and everybody...and everyone loved her! She was very talented at making crafts, especially beautiful cross-stitch and plastic canvas projects. Marilyn also spent years collecting hundreds of salt & pepper shakers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her wonderful smile & easy laugh.
Marilyn's calling hours will take place at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton, OH, on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
