Albert "Al" E. Block

TOGETHER AGAIN- Albert “Al” E. Block, age 90, passed away August 12, 2017.  Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Samuel and Veronika (Shulan) Bloch.

He retired from Summit County Children Services, and in his early years worked in construction with his brothers, Oscar and Elmer Bloch.

He enjoyed spending time with family, golf, bowling, and cards. Al was a member of First Christian Church of Wadsworth and a lifetime member of the Wadsworth V.F.W. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Preceded in death by his wife, Marion and siblings; Walter, Oscar, Julius R., Elmer, Alberta Charboneau, Elsie Packard, Johanna Svoboda and Hilda Packard.

Survived by children, Deborah Stack, Edward (Wendy) Block, and Dana Block; grandchildren, Teresa (George) Pofok, Tonia (Lee) Bogema, Annie Block, and Samantha Block; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:30am on FRIDAY, August 25, 2017 at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:30-11:30am at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
