Darwin Brown Obituary

Darwin A. Brown, age 85, passed away September 15, 2018.

He was born on October 5, 1932 in Millersburg, Ohio to the late Paul and Evelyn Brown.

Darwin was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from B&W with 37 ½ years as a supervisor. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #649. He enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi Brown; sisters, Shirley Brown and Norma Mullenix; and brothers, Dale and Paul Jr.

Darwin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; children, Darwin (Christine), of Green, Jami Brown, of Barberton, and George (Mary), of Columbus; grandchildren, Bryan (Alexandria), Rachel, Garret,  and Hollie Brown, Lauren (Adam) Archer and Caleb Brown; special “little buddy”, Spanky; sister, Sandy (Ken) Dias, of Akron; sister-in-law, Inda Knight; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to give many thanks to the nurses and staff at Summa Hospice for their wonderful care; and to our maintenance crew, Tyee and grandson, Garret.

Memorial Services will be held, THURSDAY, September 20, 2018 at 6:00pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Private inurnment with full military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or Wounded Warriors.
