John Burkett

John Burkett, age 96, of Wadsworth, passed into the presence of his Lord on February 17, 2019.  He was born Dec 4, 1922 to the late Neil and Elva Burkett.
 
He was a master mechanic working at the Ohio Injector and Condec Corp., finally retiring in his 80's.  
 
He is survived by sons, Jerry (Esther) of  Wadsworth,  James of Ewa Beach, HI, and Tommy (Peggy) of Punta Gorda, FL; daughters, Bonnie (Dave) Baker, of Palm Coast, FL, and Kathy Doherty of Wadsworth; step-son,  Lynn (Pam) Smith; many grandchildren, great and great- great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by parents; first wife, Eloise of 28 years; second wife, Nadean of 5 years and third wife, Georgene of 38 years; sisters, Zelda Raines and Elinor Friedt; and step-son, Jerry Smith.
 
A special thanks to Crossroads Hospice for their kindness and consideration during his last few months.
 
A celebration of life will be held, SATURDAY, May 4, 2019 at 11:00am at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until the time of the service at 11:00am. John's friend, Chaplin Don Bolich, will lead the celebration.
