Lloyd Buddy (Bud) Cecil of Barberton passed away on September 7, 2018 at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband for 68 years to the late Goldie Evelyn (nee Mutz).
His greatest love in this life was for the Lord Jesus Christ and his family. He was faithful and actively involved in the work of the Lord from a young age, playing various string instruments, teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon at Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Akron under the late Rev. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a certified welder working at PPG, then retiring from FM Machine Co. after 20 years service. He was an avid bird watcher and fisherman. He enjoyed
gardening both flowers and vegetables, spending leisure time working hundreds of jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles and reading.
He leaves behind daughters, Claudia Craig and Judith (H. Robert) Miller, grandchildren, Lawrence (Julie) Craig; Laura (Matthew) Wieland, Sherrie (Evan) Letner, and Darin (Shandenara) Miller; along with seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in the Lord. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Nora Cecil, one brother and four sisters.
