Lynette L Board

Lynette L. Board (Mitchell), 59, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on 3-5-18.

She was born on 10-8-58 to Sandra (Hicks) and Buddy Mitchell in Ripley, W. Va. and later relocated to Barberton, Ohio. Lynette attended Barberton High School where she met, fell in love and married her high school sweetheart with whom she had two children. Lynette had a passion for helping others which lead her to a career in the medical field where she worked as a nursing assistant at Avant Healthcare.

Lynette is survived by her sons, James Board Jr. (Rachel) and Julius Board (Connie); her sisters, Danette and Leigh Ann Mitchell; brother, Buddy Mitchell Jr.; and six grandchildren.

An intimate memorial service will be held for family and close friends on Sunday, 3/25/18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home. Contributions may be sent directly to Cox Funeral Home at 222 Norton Ave. in Barberton, OH 44203.
