Passin' Through Has Passed On

Michael "Big Mike" Childers, 59, passed away Monday Aug. 27, 2018. He was born April 30th,1959 in Gassaway, WV.

He thoroughly enjoyed being an over the road truck driver where he was able to see a lot of the country and picked his CB handle of Passin' Through. He always liked meeting new people, making new friends, putting a smile on someone's face, and having a good time. He was adamant about his principles.

He would say his greatest accomplishments are his two kids Jessica and Michael and his two brilliant granddaughters Polly and Aubrey. He is survived by them and also his sister Cora Speegle, his brothers Jesse (Ginny), and Bud (Amanda) Childers, his many nieces and nephews, and anybody who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Big Mike was very loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. But as he would say himself, "Bye only for now!"

His Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Barberton Civitan Club, Saturday, Sept. 22nd, 2018 from 1-4 pm.
