Miriam "Mimi" Norris Obituary

Miriam “Mimi” Rosalie Norris, age 61, of Barberton, OH, passed away February 9, 2019 after finally finding her stolen ruby red slippers.

Born the 21st day of September 1957, she was the youngest of seven children to the late John Black and Mary Louise (Obert) Norris.  A 1974 graduate of Hull High School, a 1996 graduate of The University of Akron and a lifetime member of the Wicked Witches Association, she used her education, life experience and magic to run several successful businesses.  She loved coffee, gardening, casting spells, crafting, making homemade soaps, lotions, potions, jams and jellies, and bringing out the cauldron to cook for family gatherings.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth; Mimi leaves behind daughters, Frances Pasquarosa and Christina (Paul) Russell; son, Jonathan (Paige Moore) Desharnais; grandchildren, Derrick, Justyce, Shaun, Patience, Terrance, Delilah and Jaxson; great-grandson, CJ; and nephew, Benjamin Borowski.  She also leaves behind her flying monkeys and beloved familiar, her cat Dempsey.

In lieu of flowers, follow the yellow brick road to purchase a special gift from local munchkins, merchants, artists or local farmers.

Mimi’s final request was a large family dinner with guests singing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. All of Oz is welcome to attend.
