Roger Ward Tenney

Roger Ward Tenney, age 65, of Barberton Ohio, passed away Thursday morning at Manorcare Health Services.

Roger is survived by his son, David (Julie) Tenney; daughter, Elaine (Nate) Miller; sister, Sharon (Ray) Redhead; brother, Vernon (Karen) Tenney; brother, Keith (June) Bailey; longtime friend, Theresa Miller; and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kiser and Norma Tenney.

He worked in the paper industry for many years, but was forced to give up his career due to his health. He was an avid fisherman, and loved taking charter trips to Lake Erie or spending the day at Clendening Lake. He was also a master craftsman, making over 200 custom knives, 30 custom pistol grips, and many other wooden items including turned bowls, whirligigs, and wooden games.

Visitation will be from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue Barberton, OH, on Thursday, January 31st. Funeral services for Roger will be at Cox-McNulty starting at 10 AM Friday, February 1st. Roger will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
