Sophie Istvan Obituary

Sophie Marie Istvan 'Grandma', 98 years young, beloved mother, grandma and friend passed away into Heaven Friday, May 18th, 2018.
A resident of Bath, Ohio, Sophie was an avid gardener, pie baker and quilter who was sure to say a rosary every day for her friends & family. Her young at heart attitude was an inspiration to others as were her hugs, one hug was never enough.
Preceded in death by her dear husband, Jack. Sophie leaves behind her loving son, Jack (Sandra); daughter, Charmane (Steven) Lucsik; grandchildren and the joy of her life, Vanessa (Matt) Koscick, Rachel (David) Freggiaro, Lauren (Cory-Doc) Rusinek, Jacqueline Istvan, Christopher (Brenda) Lucsik, and Jeanine Early; and 14 beloved great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff of The Village of St. Edward for their gentle care, especially to Lynn and Michelle- Grams favorites.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 25th, at 11:00 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Church or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105
