Here Today, Gone Today.  Charles (Charlie) Rammel died peacefully in hospice care on April 3, 2017 at the age of 97.  He was preceded in death by his bride of 64 years, Julianna.  Charlie is survived by his son, Charles (Linda) Rammel, granddaughters,  Nicole (Jerry) Hughes and Julie Rammel,  great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Morgan, Joshua, Justin Hughes, Ava and Isaiah Rammel.

Charlie was born on May 28, 1919 in Barberton.  He served in the US Army during World War II and was stationed in Italy.  He worked at the Babcock and Wilcox plant in Barberton for 33 years, retiring in 1975.  He loved to go boating, fishing and tinkering with lawnmowers and cars.

Thank you to the staffs of Summa Barberton Hospital, Altercare in Wadsworth and Rose Lane nursing and Stenger Hospice for their compassionate care.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00AM.  Friends may call one hour prior to the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church at 1051 Robinson Ave, Father Miron Kerul'-Kmec officiating.  Interment will be at the St. Nicholas Cemetery on Cleveland-Massillon Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,  PO Box 50,  Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
