Angela Sue Rhodes

Angela Sue Rhodes, age 51, passed away unexpectedly November 23, 2023.

Born February 24, 1972, to Jacqueline and Alvin Rhodes, Angela was the only daughter amongst four brothers. She was a lifelong resident of the Barberton/Akron area and to know her was to love her. Her soul was one of a kind, so caring, loving, and always giving. Family was everything to Angie and she was the best daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and life partner anyone could ask for. No amount of words can describe how incredible this woman truly was.

Angela is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Rhodes, and three brothers.

She will be so very missed by her mother, Jacqueline (Ed) Tanner; brother, Alvin (Natalie) Rhodes; niece, Keirsten Rhodes; sons, Michael Spears Jr. and Mark Rhodes; daughter, Nicole (JP) Rhodes; grandsons, Kenyan Lewis and Jayceon Finklea; life partner, Jerry Farrell; second mom, Donna Houpt; sister-in-law, Dawn; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, OH. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
