B. Marvin Hardy II (Bud) passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 a few weeks before his 88th birthday.
A resident of Hudson, Ohio since 1979, Bud was born to Marvin and Lelia Hardy on September 24, 1936 in Bardstown, Kentucky. He had two sisters, the elder, Anne Penn Hardy and younger, Lelia Roberts Hardy, Jr. both of whom preceded him in death.
After graduating from Bardstown High School, he attended and graduated from Indiana Technical College. An absolutely brilliant engineer, after a diverse corporate career he acquired Falls Metal Stampings in Akron, Ohio in 1973, which he ran for nearly fifty years.
An avid pilot, sailor and scuba diver, his many community activities included election as President of the Shadyside School Board and Potentate of the Tadmor Shrine.
Bud is survived by his wife of over forty years, Donna Meager Hardy; his daughter, Synthia Hardy Kushner; grandson Lucas Penn Hardy Kushner and his wife Alisha Ciardi; grandson Joseph Hardy, his wife Emily; great-grandson Theo Hardy; and stepson, Bruce Hardy.
Graveside service will take place Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Ohio.
