Barbara Ruth Brown went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2024. She was born on January 24, 1937 to George and Margaret Myers of Akron, Ohio.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a master baker/cake decorator for over 25 years; first self-employed then going on to decorate for and retire from Giant Eagle Bakery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Myers; her beloved husband of 62 years, Darwin; daughter, Jodi Ann; brother, William Myers; and sister, Inda Knight.

Survived by her children, Darwin (Christine) Brown, Jami Brown, and George (Mary) Brown; grandchildren, Bryan Brown, Lauren (Adam) Archer, Rachel Brown, Garret Brown, Hollie Brown, and Caleb Brown; great-grandchild, Beckett Archer; furbaby, Spanky; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. with services to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton, Ohio. Private inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
