Betty "Joan" (Bail) Aemmer

Betty "Joan" Aemmer (Bail) age 93, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2020. She was a faithful follower of Christ and worshipped at Northside Christian Church. Joan was a beautician for 47 years and once she retired, she opened her heart and her home to become a foster mother. Throughout the next many years she fostered 73 children. Joan enjoyed traveling, bowling, reading, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her large family. Joan was preceded in death by her former husband of 33 years Walter Aemmer; daughter Christine Ryland; twin sister Jean; brother Vernon, sister Velma, and her best friend, Celia Yoder. She will be forever missed by her adoring family; daughter Cathey Mitchell, son Kenneth Aemmer, daughter Karen Patterson, and her remaining siblings Clarence (Junior) Bail, and Marylou Collins. She will also be missed by her 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and church friends. 

Calling Hours will be held from 1:00-2:00p.m with Funeral Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 25th, 2020 at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home at 222 Norton Ave. Barberton, OH 44203. Pastor Robin Hart will be officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
