Bridget Lorraine Puderbaugh, 48, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Fred and Marge Puderbaugh, who are both retired teachers from the Barberton school district. Bridget grew up in Norton and for a number of years attended Weaver School and Workshop in Akron, where she learned essential life skills. More recently, she lived at Echoing Ridge Residential Center in Canal Fulton, where she enjoyed going on field trips with her friends, swinging on the glider and listening to chirping birds. She is survived by her parents; her sisters Frances Mokodean (George) of North Canton, Ann Puderbaugh (Carroll Moore) of North Bethesda MD and Helen Murphy (Michael) of Wadsworth; as well as numerous much-loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her family is grateful to the incredible Lifebanc team for enabling Bridget to help others in need through her final gift of organ, eye and tissue donation. They would also like to thank all the staff at Echoing Ridge who provided care for Bridget over the years. Finally, they would like to recognize the support and friendship of her previous caregiver, Sandy O’Daniel of Dayton, who loved Bridget and showed her much kindness and compassion.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the funeral and burial services will be private. Condolences may be sent to Marge & Fred Puderbaugh, Box 442, Davis WV, 26260. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bridget’s name to Echoing Ridge at ehvi.org.
