Carl W. Trapp, born 09/06/1929, passed away 4/14/2020, at the age of 90.
He is survived by daughters, Gwendolyn (Rick) Brand, Wilma (Jonathan) Johnson, Wanda (Tim) Logsdon; sons, Robert and Richard (Linda) Trapp; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Gwendolyn Fae; parents, Oren & Mazie; sisters, Lucielle, Mildred, Ruth & Mary; brothers, Glen, Elden and Herman.
Carl was employed by Chevy, Goodyear Tire and the Allison Tank Plant, which is now the IX Center. He was Involved in Sharon Camp as a Vice President and a Trustee, he also was involved in every church he attended as board member and usher. He worked with the League of Ohio Sportsmen, the League of Ohio Wildlife Association, and the VFW in New Matamoras. Carl was a Korean War Vet earning 7 medals, including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth, OH 44281 with Rev. Dr. Howard Russell officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service. Interment will follow with full military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
