Carolyn Ann Schrenkel Obituary

Carolyn Ann Schrenkel, 95, of Akron, Ohio, passed away September 7, 2025. Carolyn is at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus. She is happy to be reunited with her husband, Joe and best friend, Audrey.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Julie (Jim) Wharton of Copley, Ohio and Cindy (Mike) Patrick of Mesa, Arizona. She has 5 grandchildren; Jessica (Ohio), Jordan (Indiana), and Michelle, Heather and Shaun (Arizona). She also has 3 great grandchildren; the newest, Oliver, brought her great joy and excitement with every visit.

Carolyn spent much of her life in service as a Christian. A member of the Kenmore Church of Christ, she sang in the choir, visited shut-ins, hosted missionaries, and raised her family as believers. Even in declining health, she enjoyed sending notes of inspiration to others.

Often called “The Pink Lady”, her favorite color was pink with every accessory and piece of clothing to match.

Living the last 12 years at Rockynol Ohio Living Assisted Living Community, the family is forever grateful to the very special staff with generously kind hearts. Angie, Beverly, and Grace specifically had been her caretakers since the beginning. Her newest helpers from Miracle City Hospice were so compassionate; she especially loved Ashley, Kristen, and Chaplain Brian.

Missed dearly, her family looks forward to a Heavenly reunion with her one day.
