Charles “Charlie” E. Powell, age 88, passed away February 17, 2023.

Charlie served over 30 years with the Cleveland Police Department as a detective. He was a passionate NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. Charlie enjoyed taking trips and antiquing with his wife, Marilyn. He was a devoted grandfather, spending time with his five grandchildren at the zoo, parks, museums, or anything special he could take them to.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; children, Sandi (Keith) Hinman and Keith (Dell) Earhart; stepchildren Kim and Cullen; granddaughters, Jennifer Hoffman and Kelly Hinman; three step-grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Ingle; dear friend, Polly Rooks; and extended family and friends.

Private services will take place for the family, with interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
