Together Again

Charlotte Eberwein, age 93, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on September 17, 1931, in Akron, Ohio, she lived a life centered on love, faith, and family. On October 13, 1950, she married the love of her life, Harold “Eb” Eberwein, in Barberton, Ohio; a union that brought joy and deep companionship for many years.

Charlotte was a longtime and faithful member of First Lutheran Church of Barberton, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.

She found happiness in time spent with loved ones, especially near the shores of Lake Erie. Whether it was a quiet sunset or a family gathering, those lakeside moments were among her most cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Gertrude Moinette; her beloved husband, Harold (Eb) Eberwein; and her dear son, Burt Eberwein.

Charlotte is survived by her loving sister: Anita (Denny) Beaty; devoted daughter, Deb (Gary) Bail; and son, Michael Eberwein. She was the proud grandmother of: Kris (Tamra) Eberwein, Brandon (Sarah) Bail, Jason (Jesse) Bail, Melissa (Paul) Eberwein, and Emilee (Jeremy) Dillemuth. She also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by funeral services, at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. Interment will take place at Smithville Cemetery following services.

Charlotte’s fiery spirit, strong faith, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
