Christina "Chrissy" M. Baysinger- Nelson

Christina “Chrissy” M. Nelson, age 40, passed away peacefully, April 22, 2021. She was born on April 2, 1981 and was a graduate of Wadsworth High School, Class of 2000. Chrissy was employed by Sandridge Food Corp. for almost 20 years. In her youth she enjoyed playing softball and was affectionately known as “Little Slugger” to her dad. Chrissy was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, “sister-cousin”, aunt, cousin, niece and friend who will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Martha Mumaw; paternal grandfather, James Shields; and aunt, Susie Mumaw.

Christina is survived by her husband, Bill Nelson; daughter, Lakota Baysinger- Shields; parents, Steve and Karen Shields; brothers, Shawn Baysinger and Steve (Amanda) Shields; sister, Kayla Shields; grandmother, Pauletta Shields, parents-in-law, Bill and Patti Nelson; sister-in-law, Abby (Jason) Lewis; godfather, Roy Drake; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends, from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wadsworth Eagles.
