Christine “Chris” L. George (Aikman), age 77, born April 27, 1947, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Chris was a beloved gym/health teacher and softball coach at Manchester Schools. She had great faith in God and dedicated many years to teaching the youth at First Christian Church of Wadsworth. Chris made friends everywhere she went and never knew a stranger. She found good in everyone and had a love for all. She had her special group of lady friends with whom she shared a lifetime of laughter and many Thursday card games.

Some of her favorite things in life were playing cards, going gambling, lottery tickets, the Cavs, Indians, and the Browns.

Chris is survived by her beloved niece, Chris (Brian) Price; great-niece, Christina Shirley; great-nephew, Christopher Price; and a large loving family that includes many nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law.

Preceded in death by her husband, Al George; her father, Charles Aikman; mother, Margaret Aikman; brother, Dave Aikman; and sister, Janet Aikman (Glatz).

We would also like to include a special thanks to Stephanie Krueger, Bill and Nan Leahy, and all the loving neighbors on Charles Court.

There will be a celebration of life at First Christian Church of Wadsworth, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, OH 44281 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 2 p.m.
