Curt Meade Sr., age 93, went home to be with the Lord and his wife, Lil, on July 7, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1931 in Floyd County, Kentucky.

He was a hard worker who loved to play his guitar and keyboard, work on cars and paint them, and going to church. He also loved his watermelon and his peanut butter cookies that his daughter-in-law, Rita, made for him very week.

Curt is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Lil; son, Dannie; great-granddaughter, Amelia Grace; parents, Wallace and Gracie; and several siblings.

He is survived by his children, Curt Jr. (Rita) Meade, Jody (Brad) Barnett, and Paul Meade; daughter-in-law, Kim Meade; grandchildren, Bobby (Bobbi), David (Janel), Kelley (Sue), Dannie, Ryan (Tina), Aaron, Brian (Tiah), and Adrienne (Dwight); several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Meade and Paul M. Meade; sister, Wanda Davirro; very special friends, Ray and Carol Hylton; and many extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lord’s House of Prayer, 6105 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319. The service will be led by Pastor Ray Hylton.
