Dan A. Nichols, age 94, passed away September 8, 2024. Dan was born in Clarence, New York, on March 7, 1930, to Blanche (Dahn) and Harold Frank Nichols.

Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He attended Syracuse University School of Forestry, and spent his career in the golf course industry and many years as a golf course superintendent.

Dan is preceded by his parents and his daughter, Tracey. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Joan G. (Oswald); his children: Nancy Hlavin, Bonnie (Joel) Leibowitz, Jennie (Brian) Speer and Sarah (Robert) Gill; grandchildren: Daniel (Kat), Andrew (O.J.), Timothy (Kate), Jonathan (Michele), Nathaniel (Anusha), John (Heather), Jessica (Keith), Brandon (Kiera), Angela, and Cameron; great-grandchildren: Jack, Nora, Teddy, Phoebe, Kenny, Johnny, Grace, Noah, Johnny, Makenzie, Isabelle and Lucas; and great-great-grandchild, Leo.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 200 College Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 at 2:00 p.m.
