Daniel L. Rice

Daniel L. Rice, age 63, passed away from a brief illness at Akron General Hospital on April 27, 2022. He was born on June 15, 1958 in Cleveland to the late Ellsworth and Winifred Rice. Dan was a graduate of Buckeye high school, honorably served in the US Navy, and was a dedicated welder. He was a humble man who enjoyed fishing, gardening, his German Shepard, and most of all, his family.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Elizabeth Holsapple; father-in-law, Loyal Hinerman; and brothers-in-law, Richard Holsapple, Eric Fuetter and Doug Hinerman.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Danny Jr. (Makayla); siblings, Linda Haumesser; Ann (Chuck) McCollum, and Thomas (Mary) Rice; mother-in-law, Carolyn Hinerman; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Mark Sr.) Shrewsbury and Lisa (Greg) Hatcher; brother-in-law, Greg (Barbara) Hinerman; beloved canine, Greyson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held, at 12:30 pm on WEDNESDAY, May 11 at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30-12:30pm at the funeral home. Inurnment with full military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
