Diana Jane Hooser, age 78, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born on July 6, 1946, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, Diana lived most of her early life there, returning to her beloved hometown where she spent the last 54 years.

A woman of strong faith, Diana was saved and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She found great comfort and strength in her relationship with God. Known for her love of reading, she found joy in books and, in her earlier years, enjoyed crochet, bowling, camping, fishing, and travel.

She worked for Akron General-Cleveland Clinic as a Housekeeper and took pride in her work until her retirement. Diana is survived by her loving son, Dion Bower (Stacy); and her daughter, Kellie Cunningham (Rick). She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Kaleigh Cunningham; her brothers: David Toney and Charles Toney; and her sisters: Iris Waddle and Evelyn Butash (Mark); and many beloved nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Hooser; her mother, Alice Toney; her father, Charles Toney; and her brother, James Toney.

Her family invites friends and loved ones to remember Diana's life, reflecting on the happy memories. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio, 44203. Calling Hours will start two hours prior to the service.
