Donzel "Old Man" Stalnaker Obituary

Donzel G. Stalnaker “Old Man”, age 75, born December 11, 1946 in Grantsville, WV and passed away May 10, 2022.

 

Donzel served in the U.S. Army as a missile mechanic in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening his “tomato plants”. He had many friends and was loved by all who knew him.

 

Preceded in death by father, Harland G. Stalnaker; brothers, James and Duane Stalnaker; granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Carte; and best friends, Terry Wayne Starcher.

 

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra Stalnaker; children, Vicky Stalnaker, William Stalnaker, Leanda (Mike) Carte, Shyloh (William) Starcher, Matthew Csonka, and Lucus Csonka; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Rylie Carte; special buddy, Chewy; and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Pauline Hope Messner; siblings, Jack (Sue) Stalnaker, David (Janet) Stalnaker, MaryAnn (Steve) Taylor, Deloris Bragg, and Bernard Stalnaker; half siblings, Roger, Steve, Wanda, and Patty; and many extended family and friends.

 

Family will receive friends Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 12-2 pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Donzel’s memory.
