Dorothy E. Kovacs (nee Schoonover), age 84, passed away on February 21, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Alma Schoonover (nee Williamson); her husband, Edward Kovacs; her sons: Timothy and David; her sister, Delphia; and his brothers: Raymon, Wayne and Milton Schoonover.

She is survived by her sons: Michael and Jeffery; her daughter, Brenda (Shannon); her sister-in-law, Helen Digiammarino; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was born in East Springfield, Ohio, and she lived most of her life in the Barberton and Kenmore area, with her later years residing in Scio, Ohio.

She was a stay-at-home mom who was active in the Highland Park Youth Sports. Dorothy was a hostess at the Country Manor and loved going into Amish Country.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. Burial will be held after the Funeral Service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.
