Frank Buccigrossi

Frank Buccigrossi, 84, passed away on April 21, 2024 at his home in Barberton, OH.

He was born to Emido and Caroline Buccigrossi on July 30, 1939.  After graduating from Barberton High School in 1957, Frank worked at the Ford garage in Barberton, Laufman Ford in Doylestown, and Universal Ford in Akron.  He then began a career in construction.  He worked for Kenmore Construction for over 40 years and made many lifelong friends there, including Bill and Sally Scala.

He had a passion for restoring cars and trucks and showing them off at local car shows.  He was a member of Magic Cruisers car club for many years and enjoyed attending the annual Father's Day Car Show at Stan Hywet.

He was proud of his Italian heritage and reminisced about working on the family farm as a kid and enjoying his mother’s cooking.  He loved spending time with his family and took them out to breakfast at a local diner every Sunday morning for many years.

Frank will be remembered by friends and family for being the most hard working and generous person.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Josephine, Hilda, Sophie, Louise, Anna, Laura, Tony, and O.A. (Butch); wife, Billie; stepson, Wayne; and granddaughter, Carolyne.

He is survived by his sister, Joanne; children, Cindy, Frank (Michelle), Bob (Karen); stepchildren, Deby (Jimmy), Terri, Barb (Arnie); grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home (222 Norton Ave, Barberton, OH 44203), with a service to follow on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
