TOGETHER AGAIN-- Frank William Trares was born to William and Cecilia Trares in Sharon Center, Ohio on March 5, 1926 and died of natural causes in his home in Wadsworth, Ohio on February 17, 2021.
He spent his early years in Sharon Center, eventually moving to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio where he attended Cuyahoga Falls High School. Following high school Frank served in the Army and spent time in both Europe and the states. In his early working career he was an Ohio State Highway Patrolman. He also worked as a supervisor for the Huron County Highway Department until he retired in 1988. Frank and his wife Mary lived in Norwalk, Ohio, where they raised their family before moving to Wadsworth, Ohio. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk and Sacred Heart Parish in Wadsworth.
Frank was a kind, generous man of strong faith who deeply loved his family which included his wife of over 60 years, Mary, his five children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; his daughter, Elaine and her husband Bob Perkins; son Keith; sisters Frances Kemery, Helen Mudd, Mary Jo Peters, Alice Egan and brother Bernard Trares. Surviving are his sons: Kevin (Denise), Craig (Sue) and Duane; his siblings: Rose Duer, Genevieve Bridges, Betty (Ralph) Abraham, as well as grandchildren Travis (Amy) Perkins, Tiffany (Michael) Torres, Ryan (Marci) Trares, Cory Trares, Elizabeth Trares, Andrew Trares, James Trares, Daniel Trares, Eric (Michelle) Trares; and great grandchildren Claudea, Rees, Liam, Lainey and Anthony.
An avid fan of all things Cleveland sports, he enjoyed watching and dissecting the trials and tribulations of whichever Cleveland sports team was in season. He was also an avid golfer in his younger years.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private Catholic mass and burial will be held to honor and celebrate Frank’s life.
