George J. Kefalos, 92, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ on August 14, 1933, he moved to Ohio and graduated from Garfield High School. He served in the US Army and was a proud veteran. He lived in Barberton, OH as a longtime resident.
George founded Kefalos Painting and was an accomplished painter and master carpenter for over 50 years in Northeast Ohio. You could find George on the golf course or at the driving range, golfing passionately from a young age into his 90’s.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Concetta “Connie” Kefalos (née DeBiase); father, John P. Kefalos; mother, Bessie Kefalos; older brother, Peter (Lula) Kefalos; sister-in-law, Madeline (Victor) Fraternale; and son-in-law, Robert Burns Jr.
He is survived by his three children, James J. Kefalos, Lori A. Kefalos, and Connie (Robert) K. Burns; grandchildren, Alexander Burns, Emily Burns, Maria (Adam) Gainey, and Nicolas Burns; great granddaughter, Pia Gainey; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral or services. George will be buried and reunited with his wife, Connie at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
