George W. Metz Obituary
George W. Metz, 89, passed away December 25, 2023 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born November 19, 1934 in Leatherbark, West Virginia to the late George W. Metz Sr. and Hattie Metz Whiting.
George was an Army veteran and a member of the Barberton Civitan Club and the American Legion of Doylestown.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patsy Conley Metz; sons, Rick, Tim, and Gary; daughter, Diana (Lee) Rabatin; and grandchildren, Shawn and Dayna Rabatin, and Rick Metz Jr.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. with services to follow at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, OH. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, OH.
