George Allen Nott

George Allen Nott, 92, went home to be with the Lord on December 24. He was born in

Gloucester, Ohio, one of 12 children, and later moved up here with his family. He then lived in

Barberton most of his life after enlisting in the Navy Air Force from 1945 to 1949 where he was

in Pearl Harbor as the war was ending. He, along with 5 brothers who served, was one of the

remaining World War II Veterans. In addition to his parents and several siblings, George was

preceded in death by his wife, Jean Elizabeth (Summers) of 63 years. He is survived by his

children, Lynn (Gil) Everson, Dan (Brenda) Nott, Lori (Randy) Burlin, Becky (John) Byers, and

Marilyn (Joe) Hurst; 15 grandchildren & 23 great-grandchildren; his brother Ron (Wilda) Nott,

Sisters Norma Fade & Barbara Lewellen, as well as many relatives and friends. He will dearly

be missed and in our hearts forever.
