Gloria Ball Obituary

Gloria J. Ball, age 76, passed away October 9, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 3, 1942 to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Townsend. The family moved to Wadsworth when Gloria was a young child and she resided there until her passing. Gloria had a lifelong love of learning and teaching. She touched many lives as teacher and educator until her retirement in 2008 as the Director of Student Services for Wadsworth City Schools.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Marlene Lighter and Dolores Painter; and son, Darrell Ball.

She is survived by and will be missed by her grandchildren, Nicole (Gary) Frantz, Brandon Ball (Amy Croft), Allyssa Ball (Bret Mucha), and Tyler Ball; daughter-in-law, Michele Ball; great-grandchildren, Emma, Brody, Madison, Blake, Alton, Brayden, Briella, Zaiden, Skyra, Brooks and another on the way; aunt, Virginia; special niece, Darla Jenkins; special cousin, Bonnie (Ken) Emerick; nieces; nephews, Jay, Keith, Tom and Bruce; extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held, MONDAY, at 7:30pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:30-7:30pm at the funeral home. Following the services, cremation will take place. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
