Gloria Jean Cook was called home on August 1, 2026, with her kids by her side.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Verlin Riggs; brother, Keith Riggs; husband, Louis Cook; grandsons, Jacob Parker and Cyrus; and stepfather, James Smith . 

She leaves behind her mother, Marion Smith; her daughter, Joyce; her son, Brian (Amber); daughter, Jennifer (Tracy); son, Kenneth (Rhonda); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, watching her favorite tv shows and doing scratch offs. Her spunk, sense of humor, and sarcasm will be missed by all who loved her. She might be gone but will never be forgotten. 

Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton, Ohio 44203 with a service to follow. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio 44203.
