Irene Evelyn Reynolds passed away on March 6, 2025

Irene was born in Barberton, Ohio on June 16, 1925, to John Wilbur Zeigler and Mildred B. Zeigler. She was raised as an only child in Barberton and graduated from Barberton High School in 1943. She and her husband, Samuel John, raised four children and were life-long members of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Irene’s life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. Her wisdom and caring guidance provided a foundation for each family member’s life. We were blessed.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Jeffrey Finley) of Doylestown; and sons James (Sherrill) of Morro Bay, CA., John of Barberton, and Samuel J.  (Cynthia) of Clinton: grandchildren Sara Finley of Portland Oregon, Jessica Finley of Stow, Samuel J (Lovelle) of Chicago, James (Jenna) of Brooktondale NY and five great-granddaughters.

The family thanks FirstLight HomeCare of Akron and especially Angela Hill for their special care of our Mom.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 204 6th Street N.W. Barberton, OH 44203. There will be no visitation and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine Church in Irene’s name.
