On May 6, 2020, James Street took his final bicycle ride to his heavenly home. James will forever be riding on streets of gold and living with his Lord and Savior, and all of the family and friends that have gone on before him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Joyce Street; brother, Tony; and sister, Karen. He is survived by brothers, Robert and Benny. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his family and his many friends.
James was born in Barberton Ohio and graduated from Barberton High School. He was a member of the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Wadsworth.
James loved his music, bowling, collecting cans, muscle cars, getting movies from the library, and riding his bike all over Wadsworth. He loved to travel to such places as Hawaii, Graceland, Disneyland, and was in Holland when the tulips were in bloom.
A special thank you goes out to James’ best friend and roommate Donald Long, The Dave Kaufman Family, Intervention for PEACE staff and providers, Employees at Giant Eagle and Windfall Industries, Wadsworth Pointe, the ICU Unit at Akron City Hospital, and the residents of Wadsworth.
A Memorial Service will be held August 3, 2020 @10:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery Wadsworth under the pavilion. James’ friend and Pastor, John Detwiler will officiate.
Facial coverings and social distancing are encouraged.
