James "Jimmy" F. Burnley Obituary

James “Jimmy” F. Burnley, age 73, passed away on August 12, 2025. He was born April 4, 1952 in Barberton, Ohio.


Jimmy was a beloved son, brother, and uncle (aka Uncle Bobo) who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved animals, music from the 60s and 70s, and dancing. He wore his heart on his sleeve, was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back, and made friends wherever he went.


Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Tillie Burnley; sisters, Joanne and Cheryl Burnley; brother-in-law, Jerry Van Norstran; grandparents, Enoch and Mary Burnley; aunt, Virginia Burnley; and niece, Tracie Moore.


He is survived by his sisters, Linda Moore and Susan Van Norstran; nieces, Lisa Horvath, Kellie Coday, and Staci Williams; nephews, Jerry and Michael Van Norstran; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; many cousins; and best friends, Mickie Hobbs, Jeff Schultz, Jerry Cheney, and Max.


Private services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
