It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Janice Skeen (Jakuszewski), of Barberton on Friday, January 3rd 2025, at the age of 72 years.

Janice will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 29 years, Patrick; children: John, Joseph (Marsha), Jennifer (Matthew), Jessica (Steven), Jacquelyn (Anthony), and Jayme (Brittany); grandchildren: Monicca (Justin), Austin, Amber, Erica (Kevin), John, Joey, Kailee, Alexander, Adam and Ethan; 7 great-grandchildren; brother John (Angela) Jakuszewski; sister Patty Zufall; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Janice was an ordained minister of the spiritualist faith for 36 years. She was a regional director of the Democratic women's caucus covering 6 counties in Ohio. She has had a full adventurous life giving love.

She has led many groups in world travel. She has given her time to help anyone who was in need, to include feeding the children of Barberton Schools for many years. She has taught many classes to seminarians and to lay people. She was very active in health awareness, including spiritual, physical and

mental. She was an entrepreneur and an immune system specialist, representing for 4LIFE research. She received “At the Heart of It” service award from 4LIFE research, this was primarily for work with Peruvian Orphanage.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday January 7th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cox Funeral Home 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Oh 44203. Funeral Memorial Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:30 pm at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Oh 44203. Proceeding to Greenlawn Cemetery for interment.
