Jerry Ray Jones 

2/13/68 - 4/6/26 (Age 58)

Jerry peacefully passed on April 6th, 2026 with his family at his side.

He was born in Barberton where he grew up and graduated from Barberton HS in 1986, after which he proudly served in the US Air Force.

Jerry and his wife moved to Norton in 1998. Norton is where they called home and raised their family. His work career was in the printing industry, primarily bindery. His last employer was Hess Print Solutions. He loved to make the machines “sing”.

He is survived by his parents, Betty and Frank Jones; his wife of 38 years, Michelle Jones; their daughters, Vanessa Jones (Chase Bing) and Jennifer (Preston) Boley; sisters; Patricia “Patty” (Jake) Tate, Shelly (Jeff) Habegger, and Tracy (Dan) Caggaiti; brothers-in-law, Matt (Kim) Marks and Mike (Betty) Marks, along with his nieces, nephews, uncle, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Jerry was very mechanically inclined and could fix most anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing on the computer, watching tv, listening to music, he liked a good game of cards or dice, loved pets, spending time outdoors, boating, the beach and just having a great time. Jerry had a smile and charm that could make anyone's day better. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Calling hours for Jerry will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High St. Wadsworth, Ohio. Interment with military honors will follow the calling hours at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
