Jimmy Wade Lutz passed away on October 26, 2025, following a brief illness.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert; his brother, Johnnie; his grandparents: Billie and Wade Cody as well as Mildred and Everett Barnes; his beloved in-laws: Dick and Dawn Bowman; and his mother and stepfather: Kay and Barry Godwin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbi; his children: Derek (Lexi) Lutz, Jade Lutz and Aaron Lutz; his grandchildren, whom he truly adored as their “Pappy”: Cyrus Wade, Maggie May and Madelyn Grace; his brother, Jerry Lutz; his sister, Karla Warrick; along with several nieces and nephews.
Jim was a hard worker who provided his family with a wonderful life. Vacationing in Hilton Head was a special joy. Fishing in the ocean was something Jim truly loved. Actually, fishing anywhere was his happy place. He was someone who could always be counted on to lend a hand no matter what the situation. Jim was kind, patient and supportive with a strong faith in God. There are hundreds of wonderful qualities that I could share about my Jim but suffice to say he was a good son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. I think that’s how he would like to be remembered, as a good man. We were blessed to have him in our lives and everyone who knew him was better for it. He will be missed beyond measure.
Per Jim’s wishes, no service will be held.
